Self-hosting
Run uOS on your own servers. With a self-hosting licence.
Some organisations must keep everything in their own data centre. With a self-hosting licence from UltimaOS you run the same uOS on your own infrastructure: the same apps, the same client and the same encryption, operated by you.
Your infrastructure
Your servers, your network, your country. You operate the server, and the end-to-end encryption protects your users against the operator in the same way as on uos.sh.
The same signed releases
Every release comes with a signed manifest of its files, so you can check that what you deploy is exactly what we published, and your users can check what their browser receives.
The strongest suite, and CNSA 2.0 next
ML-KEM-1024 and ML-DSA-87 already protect uos.sh, paired with X25519 and Ed25519. For installations that must meet CNSA 2.0, a suite with ML-KEM-1024, ML-DSA-87 and AES-256-GCM is built into uOS and tested; running it on a dedicated installation is the next step.
Licensed per seat
Licences are per seat, with terms for non-profits and education. Updates and support are part of the licence.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I self-host uOS?
Yes. With a self-hosting licence from UltimaOS you run the same uOS on your own servers or private data centre — the same apps, client and encryption, operated entirely by you.
Does self-hosting keep data on my own infrastructure?
Yes. The database, file storage and keys stay on servers you control, so nothing leaves your infrastructure. That is full data sovereignty on top of end-to-end encryption.
Is self-hosted uOS still end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. Encryption keys are generated on each device and never leave it, so self-hosting adds sovereignty to the same post-quantum end-to-end encryption, not a weaker version.
What do I need to self-host uOS?
A Linux server or cluster you control, and a self-hosting licence. Each release ships a signed manifest so you can verify what you deploy; full open source follows when uOS leaves alpha.
How much does self-hosting cost?
uOS is free forever for personal use. Self-hosting is for businesses and institutions and is licensed per seat, with terms for non-profits and education; updates and support are part of the licence.
