Terms of use

Last updated 2026-10-08

Who we are

uOS is published by the company currently being formed to operate it (the “Publisher”); its full legal details will be published here as soon as they are available. These terms govern your use of the ultimaos.com website and, where you are granted access, the uOS service.

Alpha, by invitation

uOS is currently in alpha and available by invitation. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted. Do not rely on the alpha as your only copy of important data.

Pricing

uOS is free forever for personal use. Businesses and institutions pay per seat, with terms for non-profits and education. Organisations may also self-host under a licence.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use uOS unlawfully, to disrupt the service, to attempt to break its security or that of other users, or to use it to harm others. You are responsible for your account and for the content you create or share.

Intellectual property

The uOS brand and the website belong to the Publisher. The uOS application source code is published on GitHub under the licence stated on the open source page; self-hosting requires a separate licence.

Warranty and liability

The alpha is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the alpha.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The current version is always published here, with its date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operating company is established, which will be published here once the company has been formed, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
