Calls route peer-to-peer where network conditions allow. No central server transcoding your video, no recording unless you opt in, no metadata exposed to third parties.
Authentication is post-quantum, as everywhere in UltimaOS. Calls themselves are peer-to-peer, which changes where the protection sits.
All authentication and key exchange uses NIST-standardized ML-DSA-65 (FIPS 204) signatures and ML-KEM-768 (FIPS 203) key encapsulation. There is zero RSA, zero elliptic-curve, zero classical-only crypto in the authentication path. Defeats store-now-decrypt-later attacks.
Calls are browser-native WebRTC: audio and video flow peer-to-peer directly between participants, encrypted by SRTP/DTLS. Our server does signalling only — it helps participants find each other and carries no media.
Because media is peer-to-peer, there is no call content on our servers to protect or hand over. Call metadata — who joined which meeting, when, and for how long — is operational data and is visible to the platform.
Your private keys are derived in your browser from three secrets only you control, and are held in memory for the session only — never written to browser storage, never sent to the server. A new device derives the same keys locally from the same three secrets.
UltimaOS runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Nothing to install. Sign in by re-entering the three secrets your keys are derived from, and the same keys are rebuilt locally on whatever device you are using.
The server introduces participants to each other, then steps out of the way: audio and video travel peer-to-peer, encrypted by SRTP/DTLS, without passing through our infrastructure.
Because media never reaches the server, there is no recording and no call content for anyone to read or be compelled to produce. Who joined and when remains visible as operational metadata.
Any change you make is uploaded and picked up by every other device you are signed in on, so uMeet looks the same wherever you open it.
